This guide provides step-by-step instructions for configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) between your Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and Techdinamics' products (such as techSHIP, techOMS, and techTRACK).

This article is divided into the following sections:

  1. Introduction
  2. Create the application
  3. Configure SSO
  4. Provide the Metadata File

I. INTRODUCTION

SSO allows your users to log in to Techdinamics applications using their existing company credentials, improving security and simplifying the user experience.

This guide will walk you through creating a required Enterprise Application in your Microsoft Entra admin center. To complete this process, you must have administrative access to your organization's Microsoft Entra ID.

NOTE: This guide applies specifically to clients using Microsoft as their Identity Provider (IDP). The final step is to download a Federation Metadata XML file. You must send this file to your Techdinamics contact to finalize the SSO activation on our side.

II. CREATE THE APPLICATION

Within your Microsoft Entra admin center:

1. Click Enterprise applications from the left menu under the Entra ID section.

2. Click New application.

3. Click Create your own application.

A side panel will open.

4. Enter Techdinamics SSO.

NOTE: If needed, you can enter a different name that suits your IT naming policy.

5. Select Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery).

6. Press Create.

The application is now created.

III. CONFIGURE SSO

1. Click Single sign-on from the left menu under the Manage section.

2. Click SAML.

This selects SAML as the Sign-on method.

3. Press Edit.

4. Click Add identifier.

5. Enter urn:amazon:cognito:sp:us-east-1_Q113svvma

6. Press Add reply URL.

7. Enter https://idp.techdinamics.io

8. Press Save.

Once finished, close the Basic SAML Configuration panel.

IV. PROVIDE THE METADATA FILE

Scroll down to the SAML Certificates section and, from the Federation Metadata XML row, click Download.

You have now successfully configured the application on your end. Please send the downloaded Federation Metadata XML file to your assigned Techdinamics contact to complete the setup process.
