This guide explains how to add and configure a Royal Mail Parcel (Click & Drop) Baseline Account.
A Baseline Carrier Account defines the default configuration required for the platform to communicate with the carrier and generate shipping labels. This setup is required before adding Client (Billing) Accounts and enabling shipping operations for this carrier.

Prerequisites
Before adding the Baseline Account, ensure the following prerequisites are completed:

Carrier-Specific Instructions
Carrier Tab
The Carrier tab contains the Baseline configuration used to identify the Carrier account and define its operational behavior. Fields in this view are grouped visually to distinguish mandatory (red-highlighted items) and optional (blue-highlighted items) carrier-specific settings.

AccessKey: Used to authenticate the integration against Royal Mail Click & Drop API. This value is provided by the Royal Mail Click & Drop account administrator and is required to establish the connection. |
UserId: Identifies the specific Royal Mail Click & Drop user associated with the API credentials. Must correspond to a user enabled for API integrations within the Click & Drop account. |
SecretKey: Secret authentication key associated with the AccessKey and UserId. Required to securely validate API requests when generating shipping labels. |
Sender Company Name: Defines the default shipper company name printed on Royal Mail labels when not overridden at the Client (Billing) level. |
Sender Email: Default contact email associated with the shipper address. Used for operational communication tied to shipments if required by the carrier. |
Sender Phone: Default shipper contact number printed on the label and transmitted to Royal Mail as part of shipment data. |
Labels Tab
Set Mode to one of the following values: [ZPL, PDF, PNG].
Royal Mail Click & Drop supports shipping labels and return labels. Custom label behavior (such as additional barcodes for Order Number or PackageID) is defined at the carrier integration level and applied automatically during label generation.
