This guide explains how to add and configure a Royal Mail Parcel (Click & Drop) Client (Billing) Account.


A Client (Billing) Account assigns a carrier connection to a specific Client and defines how that carrier behaves for that Client.

Prerequisites


Before adding a (Billing) Account, ensure that:

  

Carrier-Specific Instructions


The Carrier tab contains the Royal Mail Parcel (Click & Drop)-specific configuration used to define operational behavior for this Client (Billing) Account. Fields in this view are grouped visually to distinguish mandatory (red-highlighted items) and optional (blue-highlighted items) carrier-specific settings.

A 

Service code: Select the service to be used when creating shipments for this Client account. If your workflow requires using the service defined at the order level, keep the default selection Use Order.

     

B 

Package type: Select the default package type for shipments created under this Client account. This value is used when the shipment request does not provide a package type.

Override WMS Service Code: Enable this option to override the service code coming from WMS for this Client account and apply the Service code selected above.

     

D

Currency: Select the default currency to be used for this Client account where a currency value is required by the carrier request.

     

 E

Export reason: Select the default export reason that will be applied to international shipments for this Client account, when required.

Default package description: Defines the default goods description sent in the shipment request when a package description is required and no description is provided at order level.

IOSS Number: Enter the IOSS number to be used for this Client account, if applicable to your international shipping flow.

AIR Number: Enter the AIR number for this Client account, if required by your operational or international shipping flow.

     

I 

Sender name: Enter the default sender contact name for this Client account. This value is transmitted as part of the shipment sender details.

     

J 

Sender company: Enter the default sender company name for this Client account. This value is transmitted as part of the shipment sender details.

     

 K

Override Importer address: Enable this option to provide an Importer address that differs from the default sender details for this Client account. Use Override billing address to provide a separate billing address when required by your Client workflow.
